Eid special gift from Bhaijaan Salman Khan is Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan (transl. Someone's Brother, Someone's Lover) is a 2023 Indian Hindi-language action film directed by Farhad Samji and produced by Salman Khan Films. The film is a remake of the Tamil film Veeram (2014) and stars Salman Khan, Pooja Hegde, Venkatesh, and Jagapathi Babu, along with an ensemble supporting cast. Principal photography for the film began in May 2022 and ended in February 2023 with filming taking place in Mumbai, Hyderabad, and Ladakh. It was released on 21 April 2023, coinciding with the Eid festival. The movie is also known by the initialism KKBKKJ or KBKJ. Film budget is expected to be 150 crores.
Casting
Salman Khan is playing lead role in this movie. In February 2020, Pooja Hegde was signed as the female lead for the film. Later, in December 2021, Venkatesh joined the cast, marking his comeback to Hindi cinema after Taqdeerwala (1995). Jassie Gill, Siddharth Nigam, and Raghav Juyal were also roped in to play Khan's brothers in the movie. The film also features Punjabi cinema actress Shehnaaz Gill, South Indian cinema actress Malvika Sharma, newbie Palak Tiwari, and boxer-politician Vijender Singh in their Hindi film debut roles. Jagapathi Babu was also signed to play a pivotal role in the movie. Additionally, Aasif Sheikh was signed to play a significant role, while Ram Charan was cast for a special appearance.
Movie Plot
Bhaijaan is a self-defense trainer who lives happily with his brothers and settles disputes with violence. However, he meets Bhagyalaxmi, his Telugu-based girlfriend and decides to change his ways. When he discovers that Bhagyalaxmi's family is in trouble due to a past rivalry with Rowdy Anna, he decides to protect them without their knowledge.
Music
In June 2022, it was reported by Bollywood Hungama that Ravi Basrur was approached to compose the background score and one song for the film. The source claimed that Devi Sri Prasad, who was earlier signed for the project, opted out of the movie. However, Prasad denied the rumors and stated that he had already composed a dance number for the film. In addition to Basrur and Prasad, Himesh Reshammiya, Sajid Khan, Sukhbir, Payal Dev, and Amaal Mallik have been signed to compose songs for the movie.
