She was the widow of the legendary film director and producer Yash Chopra, and was known for her contributions to Indian cinema, both on and off the screen.
Pamela met Yash Chopra when she was just 18 years old, and they fell in love while working on the film "Dharmputra" in 1961. The couple got married in 1970 and had two sons, Aditya and Uday Chopra. Yash Chopra was one of the most successful film directors and producers in India, and Pamela stood by him through thick and thin, supporting him in his work and personal life.
Pamela made her debut as a playback singer with the song "Likhne Wale Ne Likh Daale" from the film "Arpan" in 1983.
